I think the perspective being presented to us is an old one, and worth a debate.
I did not run Snopes on the below, but it is the usual tale, one that I found to be untrue, but maybe I didn't need a right brain nudge.

I am naturally right brain dominated, and the last thing in the world I need is to be chemically nudged further down that road.
True, everyone is different, and it can be a painful experience learning first hand the misery of pot, booze, fatty foods, sugar, caffeine and so forth.
Long and short, pot in my opinion should not be classified as a Class-A Controlled Substance, but it is far from being harmless.
