My only advice is to get a tractor with hydrostatic transmission. I have an old MF tractor with a manual transmission. It has FEL and it is pain in the butt to use.
I rarely use it for anything other than bush hogging pastures, line maintenance, ring grooming, etc. where I am in one gear for long periods of time.
The small MF 2300 with a FEL and a hyrdostatic transmission runs circles around the larger tractor...I get twice the amount of product moved with the FEL in the same amount of time.
I would not buy a manual transmission tractor. MHO.
