Just drive it more? If you put 100k miles on that car it'd depreciate maybe $10k if maintained. If you don't drive it because the AC is no good, add AC and drive it. If you don't drive it because you're afraid to mess it up or affect resale...don't worry about it—life is short and scratches and miles won't hit this car nearly as hard as five years will on some 2013 sports car.
If you don't drive it because it's just not the experience you're looking for day in and day out for the sum you have into it, well, then I agree that BaT is a great place to sell turn-key examples with few to no issues, and in rare colors at that. Spend a couple grand to fix anything that a room full of knowledgeable and clueless spectators can point to and yell about.
I sold my '87 and regretted it the same day, even after reading the same sentiment from many forum dwellers and deciding to sell.
