If you knew iTunes was the main way but you didn't want to do that, why didn't you say that right up front? You've been offered three ways of doing this very simply and with no hassle. ...and your response is simply "That's not an option" and "i already knew that"?? You'd say "Good luck with your problem *somewhere else*".
Care to explain why or would you just like to everyone to keep throwing out ideas until you find someone what meets your unexplained mystery criteria? I can only assume you want to do it "off grid" with a serial cable? Not happening unless you want to do a lot of typing...
