62 years ago today

My father , mother and brother stepped off the ship that brought them over from Germany . They landed in N.Y. and quickly became U.S. citizens . My dad was a watch maker by trade but was hired by IBM to be a machinist , technically he became a tool and die maker . He ended up working for IBM for 30 + years before retiring . My mom was the typical stay at home mom . My brother a real smart guy ended up in the Navy's nuke program on a submarine then college then a distinguished career with GE/BAE and he retired 2 years ago . I'm the mutt of the family I was born and raised in the good ole US of A .

While my mom and dad are now deceased I'm proud of our family , they came to the U.S. for the American dream . They worked hard , NEVER asking for a handout and did everything legally and above board ......... the way it SHOULD be done . They learned the language and they were VERY proud to be Americans . I am the man I am today because of their work ethic they never allowed me to be lazy . They made me earn my way and I'm glad they did . I recently retired after 26 years with Lockheed Martin not bad for the mutt of the family . If your having an adult cocktail tonight please lift your glass for the Fuerstenberg family............ thanks .
