I went to Whole Foods last night and spent $36 on dinner for one. Pretty expensive if you ask me, albeit I only ate 1/2 and the rest will be lunch today.

I rode the motorcycle which has bags so I don't get grocery bags at the store (fyi, they're almost illegal in Ca). The casher was very peppy and congratulated me for not using a bag and said I had a $0.05 reward and then asked if I wanted the $0.05 back or would like to donate it (didn't tell me where the donation would be going). I said no, I'll keep it. My bill came to $36.29 and then the cashier asked me if I wanted to round up to $37 and donate my change to "worlds women's fund" of something like that. I said no thanks and then left feeling like I was cheap - after spending $36 on dinner and not donating my $0.76 as asked to do so.

Five blocks later, I was at an intersection with a guy on the median asking for money. I gave him $10 because he looked like his leg was bent in half and he was in bad shape. So that's were my $0.76 goes and not to worlds women fund.

p.s. the guy at whole foods had the earring type that puts a large holes in your ear and had arms covered in tattoos. Personally, I'm surprised he has a job as a cashier but that is my own personal feelings about covering yourself in tattoos. I guess, as stated on this thread, that I shouldn't take out my donation frustration on the cashier, and in this case, I didn't but I was definitely thinking a big Fu$% Off. I suppose that in 25 years when this guy is still a cashier (probably with a few more tattoos), I shouldn't be rude and realize he's only a cashier following company policy. And me, being on a Porsche Forum, means that I can afford to give all my money to causes I no nothing about.
