Do you have a solution for the select shaft that has to go above the torsion tube? This means a hole in the hump on the rear seat pans and a linkage above the tunnel. Not sure many will be willing to drill that hole.
I put a Suby drivetrain in my 914. Rigged a cable shift and it was so much better than the 914 gearbox. 4 times the stock HP value didn't hurt either.

hole is cut and raised shifter box is made, the sorta person that fits an LS1 doesnt worry about cutting a hole haha. think hargett shifter
