Sorry, I don't get it. Nothing against Subarus or engine swaps or hot rods. Yea, you can get a Suby engine, etc for a couple of grand. Sure. But by the time you have made all the modifications and fabrications you could have put in a 3.6. (flame suit on)
Let's see, you would have to rewire the car, custom gauges, import all the suby electronics and wire them in. Then the cooling system, custom pipes, custom radiators, custom body work and fabrication to get it all to fit. And I haven't got to the transmission yet.
So if you are really into doing this sort of work and have the skills AND want to work for free for years, go for it. Then when you are all done, it is still a subaru in a Porsche body.
