Yep, our male dachshund is black and tan, and almost invisible in low light setting like this morning when the sun is just starting to light up the sky. He learned humans can't see him in dim light and he backs way up out of the way after he was almost punted down the hall once or twice when he was a puppy.
The commute down the hall and into the kitchen to make coffee and get my breakfast was clear. By the time I fed the dog and ate my breakfast the sun was high enough that the bedroom was easy to navigate in and out of to go kiss my wife goodby and tell her I was off to to commute down the hall.
She finally got up and out of bed at 9:15 AM this morning. It is tough to be retired.
