It should have a rebuilt title if it was salvaged due to theft only. If the title wasn’t rebranded as rebuilt, and there are issues with it as there obviously are, then it could imply there were other factors that contributed to it being salvaged. Whether submerged or not, I agree with SalParadise from the perspective that you can’t simply assume that all of its parts are functioning properly and carry the same value as parts from a clear title car. Some of them may, but doubtful all would with the ongoing problems this car has.
Obviously the seller wants out because this car has persistent problems, which leads me to believe that there were other mitigating factors to salvage the car. A thief driving the car doesn’t cause lingering problems to a car. I still think the asking price is too high. I still wouldn’t touch it. Just my two cents...
