We stand on the shoulders of giants, and wag our fingers at children.
How do we avoid making mistakes ? By Experience.
How do we get experience ? By Making Mistakes.
Perhaps we shelter kids today from the experiences that they need as children.
Perhaps as we get older, we become more jealous of youth, and less willing to mentor.
It is always easier to point a finger than to raise a helping hand, but I'm glad my Grandfather took the time to mentor me. And of course his favorite phrase was ''Common sense is not very common.''.
It has always been thus. Raise them up.
