The Willys Jeep Station Wagon was introduced to the Brazilian market in the 1950s. It was originally based on the US version that was released in 1946 but received an updated front end in 1960. Ford of Brazil bought the Willys factory in 1967 and the wagon was renamed to Ford Rural. A truck version called Willys Pick Up was introduced in 1961 and was later renamed to Ford F-75. The inspiration for the front end update was said to come from the buildings being constructed in Brasilia at the time.
