My business partner is of course a pilot. For a little extra easy money he plays co-pilot on a King Air. They fly down to Houston and Aspen and NYC and it is just the cool way to travel when you have really really deep pockets. The King Air they fly is coming up on some major inspection that has to be done at a certain number of hours. They have to remove the wings, and gut the interior to do the inspection of the aluminum fuselage. It is over 1/2 million and just part of routine maintenance. An engine rebuild is just insane. Just money to some people.
