I am from and grew up in So FL (other coast, Tampa/St Pete area) and as a kid in the early-mid 70s, most of what I remember are the greens. I'd wondered why you hardly see them any more and had seen something online that said that they are still out there, but have mostly been chased into the tops of the trees while the browns are mostly down where most people would see them. I'm in Texas now, and do see a green one from time to time.
