I am cleaning up a bunch of older picture files last night and ran across one of the VIN plate on one of my previous cars. I know where most of my old cars are these days, except this particular car.

I "google" the VIN wondering what will come up. And the entire first page are services that provide Carfax type info but at a much lower cost. I mean $10 cheap. They all appear to show complete registration history at a minimum.

I look at a couple of them and buy the history. I open it and the only thing it shows is the date of when I sold the car to its next owner. I mean nothing of the previous owners or even the registration of the new owner.

Does this mean I was had, or is it possible the car was shipped out of country? $10 is not enough to get upset about, but I am curious about what happened.
