sighting in an AIR-RIFLE.

this year is unique. i am switching over to a left handed bow. so taking a turkey isnt going to happen unless i dust off my righty bow. (maybe i will)

i really want to use my pellet gun.

i think i could bludgeon a big turkey with a head shot at 15 yards. so that is going to be my optimum distance. my rifle has a mil-dot scope. i figure determining where 10, 20 POI will be good insurance.

what's the strategy? just set the scope at some magnification (7x), dont touch that ever and figure out which mil-dots hit where? i am going to write it down on a big piece of water proof paper and pin it to the inside of my hunting blind.

Mil-dots with a variable power scope..are people just picking one magnification, or do they really figure it out with all the magnifications? i guess i dont know how to optimize my scope usage.

(i am putting my shotgun at my feet in case things go pear-shaped)
