This is not too far off actually. Many of societies ills mirror those of the Roman empire as the fabric unravelled. Why? A very good question but I think we have taken our eye off the ball.
The most notable change I see from when I was growing up is this: "The world owes me..."
Where the hell did that come from and how did it get so pervasive, from government, minority groups, nearly every millennial, the boardrooms, and wall street. It is a false belief that drives people to act out in uncivilized ways that defy reason. The world doesn't owe any of us jack squat. We create our own realities.
