On my 1973.5T/CIS with points, whenever I get a tach bounce, I reset the point gap and that takes care of the problem.
As for the coil? I used the MSD blaster after trying out that silver piece of junk Bosch unit made in Brazil. I had two fail on me. I got rid of the Blaster after I found a Porsche parts vendor who manufactures the black Bosch coil that has worked out great.
