I think one way to look at it is that "he's unwilling to make an effort", but the way I view it is that he doesn't have to "make an effort" given the prices of air-cooled 911s coupled with the fact he's a dealer with no emotional link to the vehicles.
I suspect a dealer's mindset would be similar to a three axis graph with profit, effort, and holding period. Maximize profit while minimizing effort and holding period. We don't have to like it, but it is what it is.
