U don't need strainer... "DUH"...just install a filter (Sm. paper element from Auto Zoned (OUT) for about $10 - $15 between the tank fitting and the WF Pump... prob. solved!

PS: Most guys on here will sell u a 88 tank on here for $80 - $100 bucks + Shipping... find some one close to u... it isn't like u need one yesterday!
