I think the market has risen a good bit lately for good SC's and 3.2's. There were at least 5 bidders for this car at over 45k. So if the owner overpaid it wasn't by that much IMHO. If you consider the original chiffon paint worth a 5k-10k premium then the car is worth 50k. Probably by end of summer this year this car will seem like a bargain.
