Everything else was just over the top dysfunctionality. But, I think that is what original show was as well. Dysfunctionality ten fold.
Black-ish wasn't funny at all. It was blatant hatred. It promoted hatred toward whites. The husband stating to his wife (presumably who has some white blood because the "whites" were her family) "I hate the whites". He then shamed the white people at the dinner table (Easter) who wouldn't eat certain food.
Dave Chappelle is funny in his exaggeration of white people. Such as the skit form his show "The Niggars". Chris Rock is funny as was/is Eddie Murphy.

I haven't seen any entire Blash-ish episodes, but I did watch a bunch of clips on youtube out of curiosity and saw some stuff that I immediately understood and thought was funny. I'm sure there's probably stuff there that I wouldn't find funny, and Mike/Pazuzu did say that it's changed since it started.
