So the guy was authorized to sign for it to take delivery, but not to drive it? Odd, and they must handle insurance differently there.
Having it delivered to the house is not that unusual, but couldn't they wait until the guy was home to get it. I know plenty of people who have consummated the purchase of a new car at home, but they had to sign the stuff themselves. It is not like signing for a box of candy being delivered or something
