My first computer, 1976, had 4K of space on the school system computer. Had a IBM tele-terminal that you dialed the computer and put the phone's handset on the acoustic coupling. Everything was done using the typewriter and paper. No screen let alone mouse. It was a very basic programming language. And yes, the other 2 students at my HS with access figured out how to access and change our grades. Not that any of us needed to.
