Confused!!!???
Hey guys, about a month ago I dropped the engine and tranny to clean up the engine tin and replace the oil seals (73 1.7 stock fuel injection.) I took off all of the fuel injection, replaced all the oil seals adjusted the valves painted the tin and then put it all back together. Ever since then the engine has been lacking power. It runs really smooth throughout the RPM range and idles perfectly, but the power is just not there like it was before. I double checked the valve adjustment, they are perfect. The timing is dead on, all the vacum hoses's are connected and in the right spots, all electrical and ignition is in the right spot and connected. It runs great except there is a dramatic reduction in power. I don't get it?? Any ideas as to the problem would be appreciated.
