It just sunk in to many of us today that premiere was going cloud - or at least it was getting booted from our networks. It's what we use to prepare/manage our videos of various interesting things that we do. We don't have real video people - just the PIs/engineers/program managers that have access. Many of us could do premiere. Now what?

Accept the subscription fee as the "cost of doing business"
Find a single-payment replacement, or a Free software replacement. While not Free software, Lightworks is at least free and can run on all 3 OS platforms -
