I finally did it, in Sept of last year I purchased a 2002 996. it wasn't a C4S. but was a very clean CS2 with Tiptronic. had 71,000 miles on it and was very very clean. seller was willing to drive 6 hours to my door to show me the car. which was very nice. very well maintained car at a number of dealerships in Beverly hills, Chicago and Fargo ND. Carfax says 3 owners, but was only 2, original buyer and the person I bought it from who owned it for 6 month before he passed away. Been working on it over the winter getting it ready for spring it it will ever come here in MN 8" of snow this week and 3" more coming this weekend. basic maintenance, belts, disc, pads, oil change. going to do plugs, trans oil and gear oil. also replaced the headlight washer caps and rear hood strut. as well the rear break light had 2 lights out, replaced with a smoke grey led light bar. Last thing will be a really good detail on it inside and out.
