Very glad to hear you got the car back!
I guess the goal was to joy ride for a while? I do not understand people anymore. The part about spiking the tank was new to me too but glad your dealer is educated enough to check it out. I would have never even thought about that. I guess some people have nothing better to do than to be ****heads.
I think many of us would be interested to hear how the insurance company treats you in a situation like this. The concern of what unknown other damage could have been done is justifiable in a situation like this. If it is not too much trouble to ask, please keep us posted on your experience.
Hoping you get the situation resolved to your complete and total satisfaction! Also hope your dad is able to enjoy the car again soon!
