Also the new doors are automatic deadbolts that engage through the rail when the door is closed so it can’t be raised.
Still doesn’t explain how they started the car.

Thanks for sharing, it makes sense now that you point it out. I have been thinking of using a dead bolt style lock internally. It’s more hassle all around, but safer.
