Engine Swap
06 330xi. Swapping engines due to a knock. Found a good running lower mile engine also out of a 330xi from a salvage yard and just about have it all ready to connect the battery and fire it up. Are there any issues computer/electronically I need to know about or can I just "plug and play"? Seems like with BMW's there is always a surprise of some sort.

Just came across this question. Hope it all worked out for you. I am considering a similar engine swap. I want to put a M57 diesel into a 2 door sedan. I have a wrecked e90 335d.
