Help,I own 2006 e90 320i. The car is giving a rough notice during start-up and the idling is rough.the car was moving fine but it eventually lost power and couldn't drive over 40km/h. Took it to the BMW mechanic and he told me its a petrol pumb. We had it changed. The car moves pretty well after start-up, but again it loses the power when the engine is hot. What could be the problem? Confused for another run around for buyi expensive parts. The car is 100 000km on the dash

You could have an engine misfire or possibly a restricted catalytic converter. I would start by checking the DME for fault codes. If the system is not working properly, a fault code will be set. This will be your best bet when diagnosing.
