Hi, I have a 2008 E92 and the boot lid roundel isnt like the others i have seen on the internet. All of the others i have seen have a slightly indented section but mine doesnt, the badge looks like it is stuck straight onto the metal body work of the boot. Is this correct or will a card and some dental floss still work to get it off so that i can replace it?

It comes off the same way as previous models. Use a plastic card, tape the body to prevent scratches.
