Which oil for 540i Sport

Hi Guys i have a 2000 540i Sport 6speed manual E39 with 107000 on the clock.

Which oil should i use? I know i need a 0w/30 or 0w/40 but am torn between Mobil 1 or Valvoline synpower mxl 0w/30

Both about the same price. Any ideas?

I do M1 in mine - but I have a 6.

You cant go wrong with any name brand synthetic. I'm suprised about the 0W though. I figured it would be 5W.
