Problem got me bugged ??

We have a 1998 316i 4Dr Auto which we haven't owned for very long. Every now & then when stopping at traffic lights or slowing to about 5k's the engine misses & then stalls. She runs fine prior to doing this & never gives any signal with missing or showing a lack of fuel (blockage) etc. Although I'm still replacing air & fuel filters, new plugs yet to be placed, changed oil & filter. The problem isn't constant & started before replacement of general service. Any help would be appreciated.
