is it a real k27 ?
I was wondering if anybody could let me know whats up with this ? I have the chance to buy this turbo from a friend {more a customer at work} says he bought it for a VW he had but daughter wrecked. I have included pics. I was wanting to install it on my 89 e30 325 & it is stock. the pics I have seen of other turbos have tags riveted to fan body, this has it engraved ? any help is much appreciated.

So how do I find out if it works or is worth anything? Take it to a local shop that specialize in turbos

Being a knockoff of unknown origin and quality, its not worth much more than scrap metal. You shouldn't use it on any engine you care about or rely on. Selling it to a 24 Hours of Lemons racer is about the only practical use for it.

Get it tested if you really want it. KKK Borg Warners are also built in China to spec. I also upgrade them in my line of business...
