RIP Richard Douglas Hickson

Guys;
It is with great sadness that I share the passing of a very special BMW rider.

Richard Douglas Hickson, also known a Liketoride on this forum, left us after a short battle with cancer.

Rick was a private guy and did not post much on the forums, but he spent years riding his R80ST, 1100S and just recently a 1200S.

He was my riding buddy for about 44 years, always close formation, safe, and it was like we were in tune with each other while on the bikes. Mostly road riding, but over the last few years we did a lot of dual sport trips together.

Riding my bikes will never be the same, I miss him so much!

After you put us in touch with each other, I had the chance to exchange a few emails and especially a few phone conversations with Rick who appeared to me as a warm, enthusiastic, and full of life character.

We will miss him.
