Recalls / Mods
Got my eye on a very low mile K1200s , she’s a beauty and has had all the recalls and mods done . I’ve test ridden a few over the years & am completely schmitten with the smooth power and handling. I’ve grown to love the superior paralever/ telelever suspension on my R1100s and as far as I know , the K13 & K1200s are the only high power , blistering fast sport tourer with para & tele suspension. My question for the experts out there is ,…why so many recalls on the k1200s and none in my R1100s?

R1100S was a much simpler machine?
(Just guessing) Although the one recall they should have done was the spline... Are you able to see what all those recalls were? Electronic or mechanical?

Spring strut lever recall Front brake insert recall Timing chain recall Fuel pump recall ABS pump / module has been rebuilt And lastly, rear wheel flange recall is being done currently. I’m not sure of any electronic issues or recalls. |

Your assumption is all wrong. The K1300S and K1200S do not have Telelever. They have Duolever! See MAX BMW Parts Fiche for views of the Duolever v. Telelever. Sorry, I can't comment on your question about the recalls.

For the record, Telelever is obsolete.
