Hey folks, Show me your bike-lift, preferably with your R1100s on it. If you could provide info on where you procured it, pricing if you remember.
Thanks |

Handy Lift - I think I paid about $1300 about 20 years ago. I bought it with the optional side wings, because I also had a mower/tractor to service as well as my motorcycles. This is the lift that's found in about 99% of motorcycle shops. I bought it direct from Handy.

I picked up an older used Handy standard air lift 1000 with a cycle vise that originally was from a shop, the person selling it lived less than a mile away, hard to pass up on. Will lift the R1100s with about 50psi.

My kid bought me this as a popsday gift several years ago from Harbor Frieght and it's been excellent. I don't know what they cost. I have others, one up in Oregon and one in Flagstaff, both of those I bought from a bike shop which folded over 20 years ago for $400 for the pair IIRC, but look almost identical.
![]() This Abba Stand gets used exponentially more than the others - it also suits pretty much any machine. Just purchase the model specific fittings and you're set. I have 3 of these as well and cannot over-endorse them. Just full-stop brilliant. Don't know what they cost now, but I believe all three were somewhere around $1k. Find them here: https://abbastandsusa.com/product-detail.asp?item=superbike-stand&pid=1 - J.S. |

I have a 30 year old Handy.....it's great!
I also have an Atlas lift and only use it as a spare. The wheel vise is the ****s and it is just not as nicely built as the Handy. I also don't like the ones that have a foot pump as an air cylinder is so much quicker. Get a Handy

Lift from PepBoys $250-ish. Replaced hydraulic jack with Harbor Freight air over oil jack ($80?). Buried it in floor so it isn’t in the way when unused. Also don’t need ramp so smaller footprint. Mounted electric hoist above it (Harbor Freight, don’t know price, traded stuff for it).
Pit Bull stand very useful for S/BCR without center stand. ![]() ![]()

Inspired by "mgp steve"
I have the same Pep Boys lift as in the above post by "mgp steve". After twenty years of regular use, the foot pump cylinder started weeping. So, inspired by mgp steve's post, I converted my hydraulic lift to pneumatic/hydraulic. Thanks Steve for the inspiration.
I really do like this lift. It lifts my RT quite readily. It is stable and the lifting action is smooth and positive. My brother has a pneumatic Handy lift. When either raising or lowering, the table bounces up and down. He's used to it. It sort of freaks me out. Here are the details of the conversion.
