I think you have some great advice on roads/routes to ride here, I've ridden most of these, most with guys on this forum...Canyon Lands is not great from a touring perspective BUT if you want $M view, check out Dead Horse Point in Canyon Land....You can camp Mesa Verde (tent), we liked it and loop described above is killer....could go on and there are so many good roads, just watch for loose stuff in turns...best of luck....
