lennies sprocket side effect- high idle?

i am on my second r11s, this is an 04 and has 70k km when bought. it needed tlc, stick coils and plugs, as it wouldn't really run, looks good, and it chugging along quite nicely now.
i pulled and lubed the throttle and chock cables, but so far have not touched the TPS.

however now that its running, once warm the idle hovers about 1500rpm, and yes the butterflys are on the stops,

is the high idle something that comes with the lennies sprockets? i am assuming not but need to ask.

i have gone over the intake downstream of the carb with a fuel squirt bottle looking for a leak but so far have not found one.

am about to lift the tank and go back to the bowden box, but that should not be necessary as the throttle cables have slack, and i did the first balance with the cables disconnected.

so wise help requested.

I have Lennie's sprockets on two bikes, 1100s and 1200s and haven't experienced any high idle issues.

You do not mention if the idle air screws (BBS) are all the way in? If so the only other thing I can think of would be ignition timing. The rubber caps are still on at the bottom of the throttle body?

Did the bike come with the sprockets installed, or did you install them? If you have a GS911, plug it in and it'll check your TPS for you. It may show an error code or two as well.

The bike is old enough where you can get by with the earlier version of the GS911 (yellow unit), and they re-sell relatively cheap, since they are useless on the later BMWs.

Is there slack on the throttle cables in idle ?
Not a lot of slack, but enough so that the throttle plates seem to be closing on both sides.

this has been resolved. it turns out that in it previous life at sometime a PO dicked with the TPS settings! the blue paint was missing which was a clue and when i pulled the boot i could see that someone had punctured the w/r wire. long story short they had done a zero=zero using the wrong target numbers.

fortunately this was discussed quite a while ago here :
https://www.bmwsporttouring.com/topic/77572-tps-alignment-idle-speed-adjustment-beyond-zerozero/#comment-883795

i adjusted the tps from its zero setting to the suggested setting of 250mV and the reset the butterfly stop to 370mV. If i understand it correctly 911 has a feature to do this without mucking it up. i assume the bmw diagnostic can do it too. theres really no reason to touch it unless you repair the throttle bodies or your tps dies.
