BMW Roundel New Hugger

Greetings All,

It took some time to engineer and complete but here it is.

What do you think?

It has more protection that the other huggers. It also comes down to the rear drive shaft for additional protection.

It also has an air scoop for the rear brake.

BTW, it wil not fall off!

What do you think? Let me know your thoughts.

How about some photos of the fender actually mounted on an S? Maybe a close-up and a medium shot taken from each side? It looks good so far....

Yes! Sweet! Cost? Lead time? Looks more rigid than others on the market, which would be good!

I am assuming this was engineered with both 5 and 5.5" rear wheels in mind? I like what I see. Would like to know cost as well.

Seems I've seen this piece before? maybe for another bike?
It's not going to be cheap! Ilike the idea of more coverage and protection for the SW.

not as sharp looking as the Geelong, but price won't cause nearly as much bleeding.

I like it, had the pipes done in black. No fuss, no muss, they always look black, what can I say :-)

Never had this type of coating before. Its not like the old header kote that I used years ago on a V&H where it would wear/burn off and you had to reapply this stuff looks to be pretty tuff. It does cool off quickly and they appear to be holding up to the occasional road debris thrown at them as well. They have a 3 year unlimited guarantee that covers chipping anyways. So far I am pleased.

Looks nice Robert.

Not sure I want to be one of the pioneers who pays and then discovers a faulty product. Not that I think that's likely of course, but, once bitten...

On the jethot topic, mine's been great on the duc for about 5 years now.

Looks terrific!! But, why the air scoop for the rear brake, which is not used all that much anyway? Do the corners of the opening provide a tempting place for cracks to start? Other than that, truely fine.

Looking at the pics on the Geelong site, I would have to say, "No thanks". Something about it doesn't look right. I like the looks of the Ilmkiller way better. The less than noticeable bracket and the little turned up lip make it look like it belongs there. That said, I don't think I need one that bad if the only one I like is gonna throw me down the road.

Jet Hot topic:

Mine started to flake after a year. But only on one side. I will need to send back to Jet Hot for recoating. I probably will sell them after the recoat and go with the stock headers.

Might the air scoop be for those with ABS which does actuate the rear brake?

BMW Roundel MANY Man Hours

Greetings,

Due to the "Hugger" issue we are all familiar with, I can't begin to tell you how many hours went into the design of the Geelong CC Hugger. It is a totally engineered product. Many studies were tried until the final product was completed. It not only keeps the shock clean, it keeps most of the underside clean also.

This project started almost a year ago and no cost was spared.

I must say that Geelong CC did a first rate job.

In short order I will be finished testing this Geelong CC hugger and I will advise you of the outcome.

I appreciate your opinions.
