European BMW Jacket Sizes
Hey Guys,
Perhaps an odd question, but I am looking at bidding on a boxercup jacket on eBay from Germany. The jacket is size 56 (Euro), and I am not sure if this jacket will fit me, even after consulting the BMW size chart. I currently wear the old style BMW Motorrad Club Textile Jacket (size XXL) as well as the limited production Leather Club Jacket (XXL) (not at the same time). I am 6'4". Does anyone wear a leather Boxercup or PowerCup jacket and can the "convert" 56 into the S-XXL size chart for me. BMW seems to have American and European sizes. Thanks guys Brent

subtract 10 from the euro size to get the US size, which makes that a 46- a large, I believe. probably won't fit you.

I recently bought a BMW Santiago jacket, which according to the sizing chart, I would need a Euro size 50-52 since I wear a US 40-42 suit coat. When I got to trying them on, turned out the Euro 46 fit me just right. I mentioned this to a store employee, who said BMW products are made in various parts of the world, and as a result vary in size even if they are labled as being the same size. Since they are made for the same company I wouldn't think that would be an issuue, but that's what I was told.
Oddly enough, I have a Vanson jacket that is sized US 44, so Euro 54 I guess. Regardless, my two cents is don't buy any gear unless you've had the opportunity to try it on first. Good luck on some new gear.

I'm normally a US 42, and have had both Euro size 52 and 54 fit me, even with the same brand. The "subtract 10" rule is pretty close, though.

I thought I was getting fatter, but maybe I've lost weight.

There is a sizing chart on the BMWNA site. The jacket does show a +10 for the euro conversion for regular, but it gets weird for the pants and long sizes. Best to measure as they show and use the chart for the conversion. Good luck!
