 okay, speaking of duct tape. will someone be bringing some type of tape for the signals/lights? what kind of tape do y'all use so it doesn't leave the goo when you take it off? i don't know the best way to tape them up either, i'm assuming someone will help the newb's prep up the night before

Russ, I say you could unwrap your ribs and use the tape! or I will bring Kaiser hospital issue tape, they gave me enough to last a month,
Just arranged to get a new rear tire so I will not have the repeat of my Yosemite Triple Crown job of riding down to Yosemite and looking for a set of tires. Ralf -I will have a new tire!

i could buy some "duc-tape" from ducati for like $100/roll and it's tri-colored! how's the hand? you get the splint off? too bad i'm in LA 'cause we could've rode down together...

i just got a new set of pilot's mounted today...it's freakin' hot in LA today and i'm thinkin' how it's going to be on the track....brutal.
looking for some under clothing to wick away moisture...anyone know of any sporting goods stores in LA?

...get some 2' or 4" painter's Masking tape... the blue stuff is usually the best... easy to remove!

...leaving SD between 2 and 3 PM tomorrow... I might have space for one more bike and it's rider in the Sprinter... Sergio has not chimed in yet and as such I assume that he's not going to make it.
If anybody want to clip in along the 5 somewhere, be my guest... pitch in for gas a little and we are all golden! First come, first served! We have 4 seats, 2 bikes and 3 people in the car... funny story: Today we hung out at SD BMW MC and while Nate is checking out the HP2 MM, some dude walks up to him and says: "You are to small for that bike"... turns out to be one of Nate's Buddies who's Carrier hat to make a maintenance stop here in Coronado... he wanted to just say Hi to Nate... After a little (very little, actually) coercing, he is now going to ride SD BMW's F800S Demo Bike at the track, they rigged him with full gear and absolutely NO FUSS about it! THAT"S GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! With that stunt, they have more than earned my respect! They will bring the bike, but he'll be riding with us... I have not heard from William Kenefick (Retrosbk.com) but he might show up as well... maybe with one of his $114000 Fast Freddie Retro SBK's? Should be a fun crowd... see quite a few of you tomorrow evening!

Sorry to rub it in, but I am sure you'll hear it from every one involved... it was of the best Track Days I have experienced... not because it was MY day, but because of the people who showed up, rode, helped and the way it all turned out! We just got back to SD, I am a little tired and it was a long couple of days... but more WILL follow and pictures will adjoin... Thanks to EVERYONE who made it and made that day!...
