New Gear Testing
Hey all...
I know, long time no posty For anyone interested in the FirstGear Kilimanjaro, I picked up the 5.0 this week. The jacket rocks!!! The day after I bought it I was able to test it out in a good 'ol fashion hail storm, followed by 3 degrees of the sky pissing on me from Kansas back to Oklahoma. With the liner in and the FirstGear HT overpants, I stayed dry as a bone (and a bit too warm for my taste). Only bad thing I've noticed is that, with a comm system installed on left of helmet, you can't look left without storking out the neck to get over the shoulder. Plan on seeing what this badboy will do in some real Oklahoma weather when spring really hits!

Where you been dude? I'm looking for rain gear that doesn't leave you wet from sweat. I'd almost rather take the rain bath and dry out that do the steambath thing. I just like to keep my hands/gloves dry. I had a good yellow gortex uver jacket from LL Bean am some light-fingered b-st-rd stole it from my Bikehaus. It worked great but it didn't make a biker style statement.

I am very happy with my FirstGear jacket... the only thing that bothers me a little is the stiff neck part... chafing is the unfortunate side-effect here. I am hoping the will work itself out over time.

That's enough from you dirt mongers!!
Stop with the recruiting or I will end up getting swept up in the aftermath and have to buy yet another bike that I cannot afford right now.
