R1200ST - 2K Mi - $7.5K

I've watched this bike on Craigslist for a week or so now. The price seems reasonable to me. What do you think?

PS, I have absolutely no connection with the seller. It is within a 30 min ride for me.... in case anyone would like me to check it out for them.

If they would have "fixed" the nose I would have definitely bought one. I see one every now and then and just can't get past it. For me everything else on the bike was right. It probably would have served in one bike what I have now in two (R12S and R12RT).

(I know I'm being superficial, but that's the way it is).

A great bike for a great price. If you can swing it I'd buy it. I have a R1200 ST with 113K on it and one with 29K on it great machines . Beautiful too!!! The bike handles well and tours even better.

Offer him $6500, meet him half-way. $7K is a great deal for 2,000 miles.

That's a sheetload of bike for $7,500, as long as the title is not salvaged. Even if you didn't like it, you wouldn't lose much selling it after paying tax on it. If you're in the market, I'd jump on it. Unbeatable value.

Other than the nose appearance, I've never heard a bad word about this bike.

Buy the bike. Get some bmw bags and paint them to match the blue and silver and you've got a stunner with a great motor, long legs, and a great look. You'll get a lot of stares wherever you take it......and you wont find many better ways to get introduced to the brand! Good Luck.

Looks like a good deal to me. These bikes are very underrated. BTW that headlight works wonders for the night blind among us.

I didn't hear you say you were interested, but if somebody was really looking for a worthy sport tourer that would be it. The motor is capable of solid performance, and with some paint and a few farkles you can probably make it look hot.

A nice solid gloss black paint job, pillion cover ala R11S, full exhaust, and some kind of chin fairing and that thing would look cool. The only thing I don't like is the headlight, it is a bit out there and reminds me of the KTM RC8 headlight which I hate too.

Thanks shreddr, I'm not interested. The garage is full and bank account empty now -after our home remodel. It just sounded like a good deal to me so I thought I would pass the info along. If anyone wants me to check it out for them, let me know....
