Akra Exhaust

Gorgeous. What is the dB rating on it?? I'd love to go with that, but last year the municipal and provincial bylaw people started a "crackdown" on what they deemed to be "noisy vehicles".
Local guys here can pull you over for regardless of how you're riding and put a dB meter by your exhaust. I believe $500 for the 1st offence.....a big thank you to all the cruiser and sportbike guys who must blip the throttle and rev hard between traffic lights in residential areas...second only to all the people who put loud exhaust on their pickup trucks here and do the same...

There is no dB rating on this exhaust system, because it is a full race system

For circuit riding (Assen & Zandvoort) there is a dB limit
Static ---> 95 dB at half the maximum RPM (4500RPM)
Driving on the straight max 100 dB

My bike did static 109 dB at 4500 RPM without dB-killers
and static 97,7 dB with dB-killers ...
So I put a 2mm ring (2cm long) in the dB-killer and got static 95.5 dB
And they let me drive on the circuit for a full pas on the straight ...
didn't got a black flag, so now I'm admitted on the circuit (Zandvoort)

(official) For the open road we are only allowed to drive with a standard exhaust or a officialy road legal aftermarked exhaust ...
So I drive the open version on the open road

My next door neighbour is an 18 yr old chick with a 1988 Nissan Pulsar but wait for it...it's a 'Q' which means it's quaint? anyway it has a loud exhaust and she gives it stick going up her drive and gets it into second gear (all within about 20mtrs) just before having to stop hard at her car-port. I roll my eyes.

She must like to hear it resonate off the walls lining the driveway. I feel like painting a sign and hanging it on her fence so she can see it as she enters her driveway;

"GO FOR 3RD"

but yes, it is unfortunate that the real DB killers out there and gonna screw it up for us more...whatever the hell we are's

damn that HP2S with the akro looks HOT - could a man be happy with a HP2S as his one bike? the white blue and red stripe version is only 40K here - I might snap up the remaining stock

noisy exhaust

Yeah, the young "tuner wannabe" crowd go in for that sort of thing here. The running joke is that anyone can get a large coffee tin, shoot it flat black, and tack it in place on the end of the exhaust. All the look, the annoying sound for none of the cost. Your Dodge Neon "Sport" just isn't a performance car no matter how much you wish it could be.
