My R1100S part-out experience
I had intended to do this after I'd sold all of the pieces, but after the better part of a year attempting to sell stuff, I still have motors, a starter, brakes & wheels & other stuff lying around my garage. I thought it would be at best a resource, and at worst, interesting, to see what I sold, where it went, and what the prices were.
Every price here includes shipping from the gulf coast of Florida. The only selling method I've used is "post & pray" in the Pelican Parts for sale forum here. I priced everything by looking on BeemerBoneyard.com and then discounting some amount off of their prices. This is not meant to be another for sale thread, only a pricing resource. If you're interested in seeing what I have for sale, I'm pretty certain my signature still contains that information. Thanks for all the PP board members that purchased parts! You were all pleasant to work with, and I'm glad I could be of some help. For those that continue to ask me to disassemble parts for you so you can not buy them (and the few that went so far as to have me box up items for shipping only to drop off the face of the Earth), kindly **** ***! Yeah, I realize that's just part & parcel of selling stuff, but I wonder how some can be so inconsiderate. For the most part, this has been a good experience.

Glen,
You might like to do some more research on this idea. We drive on the other side of the road here, so the Australian headlight may be set up for low beam pointing to the left while the US one may be set up to point to the right. Sorry to jeopardise a potential sale.

*sigh*
No potential sale here, thanks Rod... someone already snagged that. Again, this is not a for sale thread, I just wanted to share my experience so far.

Glen, since you Aussies drive on the left side of the road, a US headlight would be inappropriate for your R11S. The glass in the headlight is oriented to aim to the right on low beam while yours is oriented to the left. Just thought you might like to know before you spend the money to ship it down under.
