Anyone seen or heard of this thing, and any idea what it is and how it can possible do what they claim?

It worked good on my 99 1100. Smoother idle and better mid range. My friend is
using it on his 96 RS, and he says the bike runs better. Now I just have to get him to buy his own.

the editorial write up sure is fact-filled.
reader's digest version: "we put on this box and it felt better. here's a bunch of pictures of how to zip tie a box and harness to a frame. we didn't bother with captions, because that would have been too clear and explanatory." they said the bike felt better in the first 3 kilometers. well yea dude, they all run crisp in that sweet spot between start up and 100% warmed... 3 k you say? yep, that sounds about right. wait until 15k, then start tooting it's horn. dyno isn't just a term for long-gone creatures. seems like a written reach-around to me. ps: i've been known to oil my snake, or are you possibly talking about something else? that's a little weird... you should be using a poll for that kinda stuff. |

worked for me I guess in that it didn't make anything worse, but I never had a surger. It never popped, seemed to run very smooth and clean after I put it on.
*shrug* $50 was fine when I was in the pilot program but now they are $100 (internal) or $200 (external lead).

Lots of info on here if you search for some old threads on the accelerator cable.
If I recall it spoofs (or tries to) the ECU to add 6% more fuel across the rev range. My bike is slightly smoother with a cleaner pick up from low RPM. Bit of a blunt tool, but does the job.

It looks like the booster plug from the pictures, but it is not the same provider. Maybe they just resale booster-plugs for a premium, maybe they copied it.

I've had both the Accelorator and the BoosterPlug on my S. The major improvement is just off idle, parking lot speeds. They seem to give a little more precise throttle control and smooths out the idle.
Because I couldn't tell a difference between the two, I would lean towards the Accelorator version because it cost about half of what the BoosterPlus costs. ACCELERATOR - The extra boost your bike needs BoosterPlug Months back Shred put a link to a guy on the ADV Rider list that is making and selling his own "spoofer". Last time I looked the thread was up to over 70 pages and hadn't shipped product yet. |
