I've owned a lot of pretty nice motorcycles through the years, but there were always things that I found on them that were a compromise of quality or assembly that were kind of disappointing, no matter how expensive they were. The HP2 Sport just doesn't disappoint. Even the zip ties match the frame color! I still think even at the MSRP price the bike was something of a bargain when you look at the attention to detail.

I'm glad to see you finally got one Shreddr. I haven't been on this forum for very long, but your posts often seemed to have a bit of HP2S envy in them, and it's nice to see that you've scratched that itch!

Looking forward to hearing how you like it after you've wrung it out a bit.

Everytime George Hill rides his Hp2 up from Texas I catch myself admiring his bike. It is one great machine.

Then you start riding it in the twisties and you'll really understand.

HP2S wth Akro, vroom

fakking wide angle is not flattering, there is a more of a "snarl" in real life (the GP mic is a behind a couple pinholes). Maybe not as wild the the R1200SHP, but its pretty bloody awesome!

thanks Peter, sounds good, I will know soon enough as my first order of business has been to strip off all Al's parts (vapor cannister and exhaust) I got it registered today, and it's supposed to be nice this weekend, so I will get to experience it soon!

Nail you were right!
Jeff, if anyone can take the HP2S to the next step as an extreme street boxer, I'd bet money on you. I'm glad you are pleased with you acquisition the feel with the revs above 6k is awesome in my amateur opinion. I'm glad I had the opportunity to experience it. Once dialed in I know you'll like it even more. There was something odd for me to be up in the 80's mph and still have four more gears to go. Savor the moment when you start bumping the rev-limiter. I'm very happy for you, dude.

I'm hoping to get up the Crest next Thursday too, every time I've been about to head out on it work has interrupted, but now we have perfect riding weather and I'm excited to get out on mine too.

Just fwiw, the stock exhaust accompanying the HP2S is one of the finest I've come across. The performance match to the engine is excellent. The appearance is killer, drawing frequent rave remarks. There is nothing looking like it. And the tone/volume from that chamber somehow passed the EPA, deliver a rich deep note, without being blatty loud.
