I went up early this am while the wife and kid slept... brrrr it is cold up there in the early morning!

I don't know if I can make it this week... work seems to get in the way of things.

I've missed out on the last two of these rides and sadly will miss another. I'm waiting on parts to fix my smashed up rear brake.

Hurry up before the fires, rains, mudslides, etc take ACH out yet again!

if the long term history of that section of road comtinues to be consistent, the window of opportunity to ride it is very, very narrow.
the SOB will slide off, fall down, burn or otherwise incapacitate itself in a matter of months if not days.
it's one of those roads that doesn't want to be a road.

One of the big right hand sweepers (going up) used to be nice and smooth... single apex, now it's basically a double apex but in between there's an ever so slight pavement change (in height as well) that makes the turn an absolute *****.

I'm out for this week although I could ride next week Thursday, weather permitting. It's getting pretty sketchy weather wise though. Did idylwild last Tuesday and spent nearly the entire day in low clouds and fog, wet and cold.

Ralf, KJazz & I did the same about three years ago... it was in the 40's too... good times.

I'm still up in the air as for Wed. or Thurs... work is unpredictable at times.

Well, work is predictable for me... and I will have to work on Wed. I am out... sadly.
